Treatment and Marketing Coordinator

Katy has been one of Dr. Awbrey’s Treatment Coordinators for over 11 years. Her main responsibility is making sure patients are well informed of every aspect of their orthodontic care. She also coordinates the marketing activities with other offices, schools and outside organizations. Katy resides in Ball Ground with her husband, Doug, and their son, Wilson. She enjoys running, the outdoors and spending quality time with close friends and family.

Clinical Coordinator

Originally from Massachusetts, Jacqui resides in Cumming. She is happily married to Brad and has two daughters, Abbey and Lila. Along with keeping up with inventory, Jacqui is responsible for new patient consultations and following those patients who are on recall. Jacqui has enjoyed working for Dr. Awbrey since 1995.

Appointment Coordinator

Sheila joined our staff in April of 2000. Her main responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Sheila and her husband, Kenneth, reside in Canton and are blessed with six children and eight grandchildren. Attending their baseball, football and basketball games keeps this grandma busy.

Business Coordinator

Krista started working for Dr. Awbrey in August 2000, and she really loves it! She enjoys her job and interacting with all the patients and their parents, as she is the one who handles the finances. Krista is responsible for contracts, filing insurance, and accounts receivable. Krista and her husband, Justin, live in Ball Ground, GA and have been married since 1999. They have two children, Rachel and Zachary. Krista is originally from Highlands, NC, but has lived in Georgia since 1987.

Clinical Assistant / Treatment and Records Coordinator

As a member of Dr. Awbrey’s team since December of 2004, Michele’s responsibilities include taking and editing photos, producing study models, and developing radiographs. Michele majored in business management at Kennesaw State University and currently resides in Woodstock with her husband, Josh, and their daughter, Karson. In her spare time, she enjoys tennis, home decorating and various activities with her family. As a team member, she enjoys the positive interaction between her fellow co-workers as well as with her patients of all ages.

Clinical Assistant / Sterilization Coordinator

Originally from St. Simons Island, GA, Jamie moved to Kennesaw during her 10th year of high school. After graduating, she began attending Kennesaw State University. Jamie enjoys visiting her mom at the beach and playing with her dog, Jake. She joined our team in April of 2005, making her our newest member. Her sister Jackie Taylor is a clinical assistant on our staff.

Lisa Vickers
Clinical Assistant

Lisa is the newest member of Dr. Awbrey’s staff. Lisa graduated from the Academy of Orthodontics Assisting Program in September of 2005. She is a certified clinical assistant. She is also certified in radiation safety and techniques and theory in orthodontics.  She is always smiling and loves to make others smile too!  She loves her son, family, friends and her job at Dr. Awbrey’s office very much.

Denise Abbott
Laboratory Technician

"I am from Chicago and started my lab career in partial dentures when I was 16. I entered the Army at 18 to travel and learn the many different facets of the dental field. I then re-enlisted in the Reserves and moved to Atlanta. I worked for a couple of different orthodontic laboratories before I started my own lab in 1994. I retired from the Navy reserves in 1993 and live with my family in Woodstock."

"I have been doing work for Dr. Awbrey since 1994, and am fulfilling my dream of being able to provide quality work. Through their guidance, I am continually learning new and improved techniques for laboratory appliances and retainers for patients. It is enjoyable to create all the different colors and designs that the children and young adults choose and enjoy."

Autumn Stowers
Clinical Assistant

Autumn joined our staff in October of 2008, she currently resides in Alpharetta with her loving husband Tom and their dog Conan. In her spare time she enjoys being a photographer, playing tennis, and motorcycling with her husband and friends. As a team member, she enjoys a positive interaction with patients as well as her fellow co-workers.
