Monthly Contest and Winners
February 2007 - Valentine Basket
To celebrate Valentine’s Day you were required to guess the number of candy hearts in the fish bowl to win movie tickets for a family of four. Congratulations to our contest winner!
March 2007 - St. Patrick’s Day "Find the Hidden Leprechauns"
Contestants had to find hidden Leprechauns throughout the office. If one was found they received a gold coin to place in the pot of gold. At the drawing Samantha Whisner was our lucky winner and won gift certificates to Beef-O-Brady’s for her family.
April 2007 - Spring Contest - "Brace Yourself for Spring"
Contestants enter a drawing to win a fun basket full of articles you could take to the beach over spring break. Our winner was Timothy Eldredge.
May 2007 - Mother’s Day "May Favorite Mom"
This contest was just for mom! Patients wrote to us why their mother was special and deserved to be treated like a queen. This year we had so many touching things said by our patients, but one in particular written by Shannon Alt about her mother Eileen really stood out. Because of Shannon’s kind words her mother received a Bath and Body Works gift basket for Mother’s Day. Thanks to everyone who participated in our contest.
August and September 2007 - "Fall and Football are Back"
Patients entered to win a sports cooler filled with tailgating items such as drinks, picnic ware, folding chairs and a Kroger gift certificate to supply the food. Our winner was David Quillen.
June 2006 - Father’s Day "My Dad’s The Man"
We had to recognize fathers with our "My Dad’s the Man" contest. Our patients wrote to tell us just why their dad’s are handy. Adriana Del Valle’s entry proved to be most deserving, and her father won a $75.00 Home Depot gift card and tool belt filled with tools.
July 2006 - 4th of July "Fireworks and Braves Tickets"
To celebrate our Independence Day, our lucky contest winner, Nick Zakreski, was awarded Braves tickets and fireworks for he and his family. We hope they had a wonderful time.
August and September 2006 - "Fall and Football are Back"

October 2006 - "Count the Candy Corn"
Contestants were required to correctly guess the number of candy corn filling the jar. Our winner received Stone Mountain Pumpkin Festival tickets for a family of four.
T-Shirt Awards
Wearing your T-Shirt for three adjustment appointments can make you a winner and earn you a five-dollar gift certificate to Planet Smoothie or Cold Stone for ice cream.

Our team prides themselves with working hard but also having fun at the same time with each other. This fall we took a trip Destin to participate in our annual Southern Association Orthodontic meeting. We had a wonderful time at the meeting and even took a little time for to dress-up at the Magnolia and Ivy Tea Room.

North Fulton Community Charities - Holiday Season
North Fulton Community Charities is a local charity, which relies on donations from businesses and individuals to provide food, clothing and everyday supplies to less fortunate families. This holiday season, our staff worked closely with North Fulton Community Charities to supply food and gifts to families in need. We chose NFCC because the donations they receive stay right in the Alpharetta and Roswell area. It is comforting to know that the donations are helping individuals right in our own neighborhoods.
Our Thanksgiving Food Drive was a success with the help of our staff, patients and parents. Their generosity allowed us to donate over 200 pounds of non-perishable food items to serve as Thanksgiving dinner for needy families in Alpharetta and Roswell. Thank you for your help!
During December, we opened our doors as a drop-off location for toys to benefit NFCC. We received donations each day during December from patient and parents, and we even received money from those who were unaware of our toy drive. We were able to use the money collected to purchase even more gifts for the children who benefit from the great work of NFCC.
Also during December, our staff was a family sponsor for NFCC. We were able to purchase Christmas gifts for a family of four including two children. Each of us purchased clothes and toys for the children and pots and pans, a microwave and household items for the parents. We hope that the items that we purchased allowed the family to relax and enjoy the Christmas holiday.
Alpharetta Christmas Tree Lighting
On Sunday, December 3, 2006, Dr. Awbrey and his staff volunteered for Alpharetta’s 28th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration. The activities included performances by the Alpharetta Christian Academy Chorus and Renaissance International School of Performing Arts, as well as a reading of "Twas the Night before Christmas" by Mayor Arthur Letchas and his wife.
During the celebration, Dr. Awbrey and his staff assisted children with a variety of free craft activities, which included Santa and Snowflake Christmas tree ornaments. This was a wonderful family event for Alpharetta parents and children, and the entire staff had a fantastic time seeing the delight in the children’s faces as Mayor Letchas presented the beautiful tree with over 10,000 white twinkling lights.
The night was concluded as Santa and Mrs. Claus found their way to the downtown square to greet every boy and girl.
